An ending can change an earlier impression - Paper 3
Read the information, then answer the questions. An adult may read the instructions aloud. Show your working where asked.
Read before answering
Original short sequence, 'Book': Lee would not lend the old book. Lee turned its pages slowly and closed it whenever anyone came near. On the last page, a loose letter waited to be returned to its owner. Consider what a reader knows at each point. A final detail can reframe an earlier action; it does not make every first impression certain or erase the earlier facts.
