An ending can change an earlier impression - Paper 2
Read the information, then answer the questions. An adult may read the instructions aloud. Show your working where asked.
Read before answering
Original short sequence, 'Door': Sam stayed beside the door and checked the corridor repeatedly. Sam did not join the first discussion. When the newcomer arrived, Sam guided them to the one remaining seat. Consider what a reader knows at each point. A final detail can reframe an earlier action; it does not make every first impression certain or erase the earlier facts.
