A geometric sequence starts at 48 and multiplies by 0.5 each time. Position n starts at 1. The term rule is 48 x (0.5)^(n - 1); ^ means 'to the power of'. Only positive whole-number positions are defined. Compare consecutive ratios with consecutive differences before classifying a sequence.
