(A) Construct a perpendicular at P ON a straight line by marking A,B equally far either side of P, then using equal arcs from A,B. (B) A labelled sketch has P OFF line l, perpendicular foot H, PH=8 cm and HR=6 cm along l. For (B), describe the off-line compass method; the sketch need not be life size. Keep compass points safely controlled.
