Read before answering
A rectangular room plan is 6 cm long and 4 cm wide, at a length scale of 1:100. Both sides use the same scale. Multiply drawing centimetres by 100 for actual centimetres, then divide by 100 for metres. Area uses both dimensions; a length factor alone is not an area factor.
