I told myself I was ready. When the clerk appeared, I pushed the unused ticket across the counter, then held it down with one finger. He waited. I lifted my finger. Atmosphere is built from selected sensory details and their context. A sound can seem different to different readers; explain your reading with the text rather than naming a mood without evidence.
