Invented insect-population model on dark bark. Earlier generation: 5 dark and 5 light insects. Later generation: 8 dark and 2 light insects. Model assumptions: colour is inherited and visibility can affect survival and reproduction. Counts describe different generations, not the same individuals changing colour. No live insects are used.
