Motion description: A model Earth moves round a stationary model Sun without turning on its own axis. Orbit means travelling around another body; rotation means turning on an axis. Earth does both: one orbit takes about a year and one rotation about a day. Other planets have their own orbital periods. Use a paper/tabletop model, no running or swinging objects and no direct Sun viewing.
