Vector project: a model map icon made from three shapes. Problem: the group moves together but one shape needs adjustment. Vector objects can remain separately editable. Stacking order controls what covers what; grouping keeps relative positions when moving objects and is not necessarily permanent merging. Use original shapes in an approved tool, save and reopen the editable file.
