Vector project: a boat made from a hull and sail. Problem: a large sky rectangle hides the sail. Vector objects can remain separately editable. Stacking order controls what covers what; grouping keeps relative positions when moving objects and is not necessarily permanent merging. Use original shapes in an approved tool, save and reopen the editable file.
