Word study: descend means to move down. Read aloud: 'We watched the lift descend to the ground floor.' Spelling note: Descend has sc inside it for the s sound; keep both letters. Read and discuss the model first. Then cover it while writing the word, uncover it and compare the letters. For question 3, create a new sentence rather than copying this one.
