Plan for a reader, then revise - Online practice 4

Read the information, then answer the questions. An adult may read the instructions aloud. Show your working where asked.

Read before answering

Writing brief: write a guide for a class helper about organising art materials. Suggested paragraph headings: Gather approved materials; Sort by type; Label the storage. Clear model: 'Put the coloured pencils in the pencil tray and label the tray clearly.' Unclear draft: 'Tidy the stuff.' Your reader cannot see you pointing. Supply useful detail without inventing real school rules; this is a model writing task.
