Describe with ous words - Paper 3
Read the information, then answer the questions. An adult may read the instructions aloud. Show your working where asked.
Read before answering
Word study: hideous means very ugly or unpleasant. Read aloud: 'The invented monster made a hideous noise.' Spelling note: Hideous has e before ous, unlike curious; remember the complete spelling. Read and discuss the model first. Then cover it while writing the word, uncover it and compare the letters. For question 3, create a new sentence rather than copying this one.
