Fictional shadow measurements: the torch and screen stay fixed. The same opaque card stays face-on between them. At 12 cm from the torch its shadow is 18 cm wide; at 36 cm its shadow is 6 cm wide. Only the card's position changes. Use these records; do not invent observations or point light into eyes.
