Read before answering
Word A - heard: the past form of hear. Heard keeps ear from hear and adds d, although the vowel sound changes. Model: 'I heard a quiet tapping at the window.' Word B - heart: the organ that pumps blood around the body. Heart contains ear but does not sound like heard; learn the whole word. Model: 'The heart pumps blood around the body.' Practise from memory; check. Repeat another day.
