Read before answering
Shape fact card: a cube has 6 flat faces, 12 straight edges and 8 vertices (corners). Its faces are six squares. A cylinder has two flat circular faces and a curved surface. A sphere has no flat faces. An adult can show safe solid models to match these descriptions. A pupil says: 'Turning this cube adds a seventh face.' Use the fact card to check the claim.
