A retry should not duplicate the effect - Online practice 1

Read the information, then answer the questions. An adult may read the instructions aloud. Show your working where asked.

Read before answering

Invented submission service, initially empty. Request key K1 with body 'Answer 1' saves submission S1, but its response is lost. Retry the SAME key and body twice. Then send the same key with body 'Changed 1'. Policy: identical key/body returns the original result; key reuse with different body is a conflict, not an overwrite.

  2. What should K1 with body 'Changed 1' do?
  3. Why does a timeout not justify blindly creating a new record?
