A number is a mathematical item, used for counting and measuring. Numbers can be counted from zero to infinity (something that is endless). They can also be counted forwards and backward in any number pattern.
Counting in fours: 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24… is adding a four (or more) value from an original number.
Counting in eights: 8, 16, 24, 32, 40, 48… is adding an eight (or more) value from an original number.
Counting in fifty’s: 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300… is adding a fifty (or more) value from an original number.
Counting in hundreds: 100, 200, 300, 400, 500… is adding a hundred (or more) value from an original number.
Numbers can be read in words and write them down as digit.
When we read a number, we look for the position of the number, it means the place value of the number.
When you write the numbers in digits, determine the place value of the first digit and, then write the number.
